Solcara Crisis Control Centre is a web-based incident management system; an online virtual incident room. It provides a platform for the rapid capture of information, and quick distribution of the facts to those that need to know, enabling a more effective decision making process in emergency situations. It enables more effective collaboration between BC team members, regardless of their geography, location, or time-zone. Replacing the whiteboards, flip charts and paper based recording systems that reside in traditional incident management rooms, CCC enables details of events, actions, and consequence to be entered onto specific ‘status boards in a secure environment. The electronic capture of information enables it to be more easily shared and provides for powerful auditing capabilities. Unique replay functionality ensures that the incident can be analysed in full from start to finish, to enable a more effective post-incident review process and the improvement of existing practices.
